About Watsie

Wats(n), pronounced Watson as-in What's On, was developed and designed in-house to meet a very specific need.
We often get calls asking about the status of this thing or that thing, or to add an email address to the notifications of a unit. This would often mean a quick trip to a computer to login into our servers and produce the desired result. Watsie was meant to give us a pocket overview of the system, and a way to perform service operations without having to put our burrito down.

The app is connected to, and part of, the larger stack of tools called CNC. These tools, combined, create the environment for the AI and human. Cloud Not Crowd is also Crowd Not Cloud.

Watson got its name from a curious little cat we adopted as a senior, and who sadly passed away in 2023. RIP Watson, LL&P Wats(n).

Installing.

Wats(n) is delivered via the app store, but you will require a special invitation code to get it. After you have received the link and the code it will install like any other app and be available on your screen.

Launch / Log In

After launching the app you will be asked to supply your credentials and a PIN.
Internally these are something different, but for you they simply mean your Email and a PIN code that we will supply to you. After you complete these steps the Auth system will establish a special token with your device to secure the connection. This may take a moment, so be patient.

After you have successfully arrived at the overview screen you will be able to select the show(s) that you are attached to. If you find you are missing one you can use the App to request access to it. You must know the show code as used by your Constellation unit. This can be found on any email.

Wats(n) uses only the show code and NEVER the real name of your show for security reasons.

You can update these settings at any time before you attach a drive. After you have attached a drive the unit will not update until the current processing has completed.

In an emergency you can contact support and they can stop, add the changes, and restart the processing.

Why you cannot and should not add an Keyboard, Mouse or Monitor (KVM). There are no user accessible elements in the CNC operating system. Further, adding a keyboard and pressing button will likely end in corruption, errors or system faults. For this reason we completely block the use of them and allow the unit to lock down if they are detected.
