Can i get a trial unit?
During Open BETA we have a finite number of machines available so trials are subject to availability.
Why didn't you ask about the camera(s)?
Constellation is an outcome driven software. It needs to know about what deliverables you want, and it will figure out the most efficient and accurate workflow for the camera based on the cameras spatial, temporal, colorspace and codec.
How do we know how much this service will cost?
Each day you will receive a clip report that shows you the total camera hours for the day. The average TCH (total camera hours) is 02:21 across all projects. Add the equipment rental of $49 USD per day and the typical cost is around $370 USD per day. This is a guide only, your production may vary. Give us a call and we can help you narrow in on it.
How do we get billed when working on an AS project?
Each week we send you an invoice for the total of the weeks camera hours. It is up to the production company to pay the bill unless alternate arrangements are made prior to shooting start.
Do you support X camera or X file format?
Almost always the answer is yes - Constellation has a modern and fast media handling engine like you would find in Resolve or Silverstack.
